Obama accuses Russia of breaking Geneva agreements
Russia is not fulfilling the Geneva agreements to resolve the crisis in Ukraine, US President Barack Obama says.
He announced it at a press conference during a bilateral meeting with Japanese PM Shinzō Abe in Tokyo, UNIAN reports. The USA may impose ‘additional sanctions on Russia’ if it keeps ‘neglecting the agreements, Obama added. At the same time, the USA would like to settle the conflict in Ukraine in diplomatic ways, he noted.
Tokyo and Washington think that ‘using force in Ukraine to change the status quo’ is inadmissible, the Japanese PM claimed. Furthermore, both states confirmed ‘the importance of rendering assistance to Ukraine’, Abe noted.
