Barys Haretski sentenced to 14 days of detention

The Maskouski district court of Minsk has completed consideration of the administrative case of the journalist Barys Haretski, who has been accused of participation in a non-sanctioned demonstration on December 19. The judge Jauhen Khatkevich has sentenced him to 14 days of detention.  It is likely that the judge has thought that Barys Haretski has already spent "the 15th day" in the Maskouski district administration of internal affairs, where he was delivered yesterday after the arrest near the KGB building in Minsk.
