BATE–Slovan 1:1
BATE Barysau concedes a goal 10 minutes from time in the first leg of the Champions league playoff away match against Slovan.
BATE failed to defeat Slovan Bratislava in the away match of the Champions League playoff. However, it keeps good chances to make it to the group stage.
Tomasz Jablonski managed to save his team from Syarhei Kryvets’ pass during the 44th minute. Vital Radzivonau did not manage to score a goal in the second period. Then veteran of the Slovak team Robert Vitek scored a goal 10 minutes from time when he pushed himself through two BATE defenders.
The return match will be played at the Barysau Arena on August 26. BATE needs to win with any score. A nil-nil draw will do too. If the score is 1:1, it may result in additional time or even penalty shots. Any other result will be good for the Slovak team.
The winner will get to the group stage of the Champions League and the loser will continue the autumn season in Europa League.
