Belarus goes up in Global Peace Index: leaves Russia, Ukraine and USA behind

Belarus has gone up by 4 positions in the rankings within a year. It is in the 97th place now – higher than Russia (154), and Ukraine (150). However, Belarus is left far behind by its neighbours – Poland (29), Latvia (35) and Lithuania (38).
The majority of the 163 states included in the rankings have improved their index. Thus, Global Peace Index 2019 has improved for the first time in five years, researchers of the institute for Economics and Peace concluded.

А на апошнім, 163-м месцы, апынуўся Афганістан. Да таго тры гады запар самай ваяўнічай лічылася Сірыя, але сягоння яна займае перадапошні радок. Акрамя іх, у спіс найменш міралюбных краін патрапілі Паўднёвы Судан, Емен і Ірак.
