Belarusian Ihar Boki three-times Paralympic champion
Belarusian Ihar Bokiy has become a three-time Paralympic champion of the XV Paralympic Games in Rio. The swimmer has celebrated another victory in the 400m free style. Bokiy finished the distance in 55.62 seconds, BELTA reports. He lacked 0.07 seconds to break his own world record.
Bokiy won the 100m butterfly and 200m medley. He also won a bronze medal in the 100m brace. Belarusian Paralympians have already won 5 medals and Ihar Bokiy won 4 of them. Bokiy is 22 years old. The sportsman from Babruisk is visually handicapped. He won 6 medals including 5 gold medals at the Paralympics in London.
