Belarusians have problems at Lithuanian border

On Monday, June 3, Lithuania banned the import of agricultural products from Belarus and Russia.
The list of "banned products" includes food of animal origin, fish, crustaceans, molluscs, milk and milk products, eggs, natural honey. Cereals, vegetables and some root crops, fruits and nuts, coffee, tea, spices, etc. may not be imported. The import of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, tobacco and tobacco substitutes is also prohibited.

Belarusians in media chat rooms are sharing their experiences crossing the Belarusian-Lithuanian border under the new rules:
"Everything that comes from the Belarusian side goes into the trash can."
Some complain that they bought sweets and alcohol in Belarus as gifts from friends, and now they don't know what to do with them.
Parents with small children are particularly worried because the entry regulations allow even a bottle of water to be taken. It is unclear how a child can survive waiting in line for hours without water.
Transit through Lithuania is not prohibited. According to information found in chat rooms, customs officers stop checking things thoroughly after the plane tickets are presented.
