Belarusians turn to BySol for help after Delfi film gets released

Dozens of people turned to BySol for help after the Delfi film about the Belarusian protests appeared online, Pozirk reports referring to the head of the BySol Solidarity Fund, Andrei Stryzhak.
According to Stryzhak, those who recognized themselves in the footage and are still in Belarus "wille only get one proposal - to move to a safe place". He added that the fund "consults everyone who applies".
The documentary "Chronicles of Modernity" was published earlier this week on the Internet portal Delfi. The film is dedicated to the protests in Belarus in 2020. The film uses footage of street marches, where many people's faces are uncovered and clearly visible. After the release of the film, Belarusian law enforcement agencies announced new criminal cases for "organizing and preparing actions that seriously violate public order or actively participating in them" (Article 342 of the Criminal Code). The authors of the project were criticized for recklessness - for the fact that by publishing the film they endangered the Belarusian protesters who remained in Belarus. The film was removed, but law enforcement officials claim that they managed to download it.
