Canada impose sanctions on some Russian banks, companies
The sanctions cover Gasprombank, Vnesheconombank, and Russia's second biggest gas manufacture Novotek.
Canada's PM Stephen Harper explained that the sanctions prescribe cease of crediting the power companies and financial institutions which got into the black list. The concerns Kalashnikov, Sozvezdiye, Radioelectronic Technologies, Almaz-Antey and others have been added to the list.
RIA Novosti reminds that the United States introduced sanctions against legal entities and physical persons, as well as against Rosneft, in July. The EU's sectorial sanctions against Russia due to its actions in Ukraine are under discussion now.
Canada also introduced sanctions against the self-proclaimed republics in eastern Ukraine and their representatives.
