Court names discotheque as unauthorized event in Ivatsevichy

A 26-year-old resident of Ivatsevichy will pay a fine of 700,000 rubels ($220) for organizing an unauthorized mass event. On July 10, the young man staged a disco party in a retreat center on River Shchara. Nearly 400 people came there and paid 20,000 rubels each for entrance fees. When on trial, the young man said he had thus wanted to celebrate his birthday. But the judge ruled that he had to obtain a permit for the disco party. It was described as the violation of the procedures to organize a mass event or a picket. By the way, the organizer marked his birthday on June 22 or 18 days before the disco party, reports Belapan.
