Declarants of Chernobyl Way action hope authorities will not set special police troops against them

The executive secretary of the BNF Council Uladzimir Labkovich will sign the appeal for a traditional mournful action Chernobyl Way that will take place on April 26. He noted that the action would preserve its traditional constituent: “We are going to commemorate the victims of Chernobyl Disaster and to express a demand to return social benefits to the victims of the catastrophe”. Labkovіch is hoping that the action will be allowed and that the authorities will not repeat “the outrageous events that took place during the celebration of the 90th anniversary of the BPR on March 25”.

According to the appeal, the manifestation will start at 2 p.m. near the Academy of Sciences. Then the participants will proceed to Independence Square.
