Ebola virus disease isolation ward destroyed in Liberia
29 patients have fled.
A group of armed people attacked an EVD isolation ward in Monrovia, capital of Liberia. All the patients fled, AFP reports.
Militants broke the gate and destroyed the ward at night, witnesses say.
Ebola hemorrhagic fever is a rare and deadly disease. 90% of infected people do not survive. Although the virus causing it was discovered 40 years ago, there is no vaccine at present.
