Freedom Day picket allowed in Byaroza
A picketed dated for the anniversary of the BPR has been allowed in Byaroza. A 60-minute picket for up to 10 people is appointed for March 25. The action was meant to draw attention to the events of 98 years ago when the independence of the Belarusian state was announced. The organizers also want to protest against Lukashenka’s decrees #222 and 3 (On Freeloading Prevention), BelaPAN reports.
The organizers wanted to conduct the action near the entrance to the Central City Stadium but local officials have allowed them to gather in the microdistrict Paunochny Haradok. The activists still need to get permission from the police, medics and communal services for the picket to be held.
