Hundreds of people deprived of electricity in Latvia
A storm hit the country last night destroying power lines.
About 100 houses were left without electricity, Delfi reports. Rescuers were most busy in Riga (a lot of fallen trees barred the city streets) and in the north. Ventspils, Talsi and Kuldīga District were damaged most.
The storm Saint Jude hit Great Britain, France, Germany, the Netherlands and Denmark the other day. At least 3 people died (most of them were killed by falling trees), 200 thousands were left without electricity. Saint-Petersburg and Estonia are getting ready for the storm now.
