Saint Jude storm in Europe, 15 victims (video)
The storm hit Northern Europe a few days ago. It reached Latvia last night; Saint-Petersburg is getting ready for it.
The storm killed eight people in Germany. A tree fell onto a car in Gelsenkirchen killing an 11-year-old girl and her relative. Two more children were injured, RIA Novosti reports.
Five people were killed in Great Britain, 1 – in the Netherlands and Denmark. Most of them died to falling trees.
A flood and gale reaching 28 meters per second may hit Saint-Petersburg on October 29. Saint Jude will fade only on Wednesday night.
The storm was named after the feast of Saint Jude the Apostle which takes place on October 28.
