Ice hockey: Belarus beat France 2-1 in Eurochallenge
Belarus edged France 2-1 in a penalty shootout on Friday in Hrodna's Ice Palace. Charles Bertrand opened thwe score on 24 minutes. Belarusians managed to level only in the third period. Yauhen Kavyrshyn scored on 42 minutes when on power play after Charles Lingle's assist. During the shootouts, Belarus' keeper Vital Koval made three saves. Andrei Kostitsyn scored the winning goal.
Belarus and France will clash again on Saturday, April 9 in Hrodna at 1630 local time.
