Increasing number of drunken drivers in Belarus
The Driving Inspectorate has informed about an increasing number of drunken drivers in Belarus.
233 drivers were detained yesterday, on April 29. About three thousand infringements of the road laws were prevented. 304 of them were committed by pedestrians.
Let us remind you that, according to the new Administrative Code, the fine for drunken driving is from 15 to 35 base amounts (from 465 thousand to 1 million 85 thousand BRB) including confiscation of the driving license for 1-3 years.
The punishment for repeated infringements is detention for up to 6 months or two years of correctional labour.
