Internet portal OPEN.BY will cease to operate on 1 January, 2015. Its creators claim that it "fulfilled its mission and is a thing of the past". The statement says that OPEN.BY existed for almost 16 years. It started out as an online newspaper and eventually turned into an "information portal with lots of services and resources", some of which have become independent and have an audience of thousands of people.
It is reported that services Mail.by, All.by, Fotki.by and Chat.by still continue their work.
