Investigators check DW journalist Bykouski’s online logs since 10 years ago

Investigators have given back the banking cards belonging to Deutsche Welle journalist Paulyuk Bykouski and his wife. The cards were confiscated during the search in their apartment, dw.com reports.
Bykouski was summoned to the Investigation Committee for an interrogation and received back the banking cards on August 15. Both his hard disk drives were also returned to him. However, his PC, laptop and other equipment are still in the Investigation Committee. Investigators are going to look through the photos and other assets accumulated over the past decades of his journalistic work, Bykouski said.
Bykouski is one of the journalists briefly detained in the so-called 'BelTA case.' He is among several journalists suspected of illegally accessing the paid news feed of the state-run news agency BelTA.
Bykouski’s lawyer Yauhen Pylchanka appealed the journalists’ detention in Minsk's Partyzanski District Court on August 13 (the journalist had already been released). The appeal was denied. The lawyer is going to appeal the refusal in the Minsk City Court on August 17.
