Kamchatka volcano sends ash 6 km into sky
This is the second eruption of the Klyuchevskaya Sopka in a day. On Wednesday, it sent ash 5 km above the sea level.
According to the information provided by the Ministry for Emergency Situations, the ash cloud dispersed to the East from the volcano in the direction of Kamchatka backwater. There are no populated areas on the way of the ash cloud, informs ВВС.
Klyuchevskaya Sopka is 4800 meters height and stays one of the most active volcanoes in Eurasia. The strongest eruption happened in 1994.
