Latvian meat processor eyes Belarus after Russian food embargo
Latvian company Rēzeknes Gaļas Kombināts has lost access to the Russian market in the light of Russian counter-sanctions against the European Union.
The administration of the plant hopes to come to the Belarusian market now, Delfi reports. Samples of its products will be delivered to Belarus this week. Some shop chains are interested in them. Latvia expects to see the result within the next few weeks.
“Belarus is geared up for it,” head of the enterprise council Guntis Piteronaks claimed.
