Lukashenka suggests gathering Higher Council of Union State in Minsk
Alyaksandr Lukashenka has suggested gathering the Higher Council of the Union State of Belarus and Russia in Minsk. He pronounced the idea at a meeting with secretary of the Union State Ryhor Rapota on Monday.
According to the agreement with Putin, the meeting will be held in the first quarter of 2016. “I think that the Higher Council should meet in Minsk because Russian higher officials have not been to Belarus for a long time. It will be important for Minsk and Belarus,” BELTA quotes the Belarusian President.
Rapota demonstrated the meeting agenda to Lukashenka. Moscow understands that the Higher Council should gather in Minsk, he noted. It is necessary to appoint the date now.
