Alyaksandr Lukashenka discussed the tax maneuver of Russia which has already reduced the Belarusian budget revenues from oil duties with the head of the Customs Committee, Yury Syanko. "We are not going to be constantly crawling on our knees in front of our older brother and begging for some crumbs. We have to build a policy here with all the ensuing consequences," said the head of state.
According to Lukashenka, he has discussed tax maneuver with Vladimir Putin more than once and will continue to discuss it.
Syanko reported to the head of state that in 2019 customs revenues will exceed the figure of 2018.
It means that we have managed to find ways to compensate for losses," said Lukashenka. "In no case should we bend over or fall. We must withstand the reduction of these duties and our income and withstand this tax maneuver".
