Lukashenka jokes about his awards at Slavonic Bazaar

Alyaksandr Lukashenka took part in the festive opening ceremony of XXV Slavonik Bazaar in Vitsebsk on July 14. “The festival has been developing together with the country and it reflects every stage of the making of the young state,” he noted in his speech. Lukashenka also gave the Union State awards in literature and art for 2015-2016. See here for more details. Belarusian people’s artist Mihail Finberg and the National Academic Concert Orchestra received the special award “To peace and cooperation by means of art”.

Alyaksandr Lukashenka joked about his awards. He cannot award himself but he has friends in Russia and Ukraine who do not grudge awards, the Belarusian President said.
