Makei: Lukashenka has ordered to develop bilateral cooperation with EU
Belarus, the EU and USA are eager to start an equal and respectful dialogue, Minister for Foreign Affairs Uladzimir Makei told journalists on Monday. There are normal prospects for the cancellation of the Western sanctions imposed on our country (the EU will make its decision about them soon, they are suspended at the moment), he believes.
"We have managed to change the atmosphere and the contents of our relations with the EU and USA. All the sides are eager to start an equal and respectful dialogue,” BELTA quotes Makei.
The President listened to the Foreign Minister’s report on Monday. They discussed the normalization of Belarus’ relations with the EU and USA. Alyaksandr Lukashenka requested to develop all-round cooperation with the European Union including the sphere of human rights and cooperation with the OSCE during the preparation for elections, Uladzimir Makei said.
