Makei, Surikov discuss date for Belarus, Russia presidents meet
Belarusian foreign minister Uladzimir Makei and Russian ambassador in Minsk Alexander Surikov on December 1 met to discuss current issues on the agenda of Belarus-Russian interaction as well as the schedule of top level contacts, reports the press office of Belarusian foreign ministry.
Makei and Surikov may have discussed the possible dates of the meeting between Aliaksandr Lukashenka and Uladzimir Putin. Lukashenka's visit to Moscow, scheduled for late November, was eventually postponed. The heads of Belarus and Russia were expected to discuss the plans to deploy a Russian airbase in this country.
