Meeting between Tsikhanouskaya office and Kalinouski regiment held in Kyiv

The chief advisor of Sviatlana Tsikhanouska, Franak Viachorka, and her deputy in the Joint Transitional Cabinet, Pavel Latushka, met with the commanders of the Kalinouski regiment in Kyiv. Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya joined the meeting via the internet. According to her press service, the meeting lasted four hours.

The Kalinouski regiment was represented by its commander Dziays Kit, his deputy Vadzim Kabanchuk, as well as the commander of the medical detachment  Nasta Mahamet and the regiment's representative Dzmitry Shchyhelski.

In comments to the Zerkalo website, Pavel Latushka refused to give details of the meeting. He noted that at the beginning of the meeting the representatives of the Office expressed their condolences for the soldiers of the regiment who had died the day before. Office representatives are expected to attend their funerals.

"We agreed not to give any details, but [we had] very good impressions of the meeting. Its content is very fruitful and we are very satisfied with this conversation. I can say that this is a historical event for the democratic movement in Belarus. I also visited the place where the fighters live. They are real heroes and the pride of Belarus," emphasized Latushka.

The first meeting of Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya with the fighters of Kalinouski's regiment since the beginning of the war took place on June 7.
