Mid-spring snow in Vitsebsk and Navapolatsk (photo)
“This is April 15!” Instagram users are uploading photos of April snow.
Snow suddenly appeared in Vitsebsk and Navapolatsk on the morning of April 15. It was also snowing in Minsk on April 14 and then a hail hit the city. The Belarusian weather got worse at the beginning of the week. A storm alert was announced on April 14 and 15. A strong wind has done a lot of damage all over the country and a wall collapsed on a parking place in Brest.
The bad weather will stay even during the long weekend,head of the State Weather Forecast Service Dzmitry Rabau told Euroradio:
“Cold air will be coming from the Baltic Sea in the first half of the week. Then the cold air will be replaced with an even colder air mass from the north seas.”
Thursday will be the nastiest day and the coldest air mass will reach Belarus on Friday. The temperature will reach 10 degrees above zero at the weekend.
