Movement for Freedom reminds authorities of private press distribution problems

Alyaksandr Milinkevich's Movement for Freedom has subscribed the Presidential Administration and other governmental agencies to private periodicals to attract authorities' attention to distribution problems that most private periodicals face in the country.
About a dozen Belarusian newspapers critical of the government have no access to the state-controlled retail and subscription distribution networks.

Yuras Hubarevich, deputy chairman of the Movement for Freedom, said that private newspapers Novy Chas, Hazeta Slonimskaya and Volnaye Hlybokaye will be sent in envelopes to agencies directly responsible for the distribution problems. "These are the Presidential Administration, the Ministries of Communication and of Information, and the Supreme Economic Court and other agencies," he told ERB.
