Murderer of student sentenced to death again
The sentence was pronounced on the morning of December 24.
The hearing of the case of murder of student Natallya Yemelyanchykava was held in Homel Province Court on December 23. Hrunou is accused of stabbing the girl with a knife 102 times on December 20, 2012 which resulted in her death.
Homel Province Court sentenced Alyaksandr Hrunou to death earlier. However, the Supreme Court cancelled the sentence in October and ordered to review the case.
The prosecutor demanded to execute the accused again today, BelaPAN reports. Hrunou committed a shocking crime and he is dangerous for the society, the prosecutor said. The killed student’s mother also approved of the death penalty, BelaPAN reports.
The accused asked the student’s mother for forgiveness and said that he “did not know how it could happen”.
