Nepal earthquake death toll reaches 4310
About 8 thousand people have been injured.
The number of victims of the heavy earthquake that slashed Nepal on Saturday, April 25 is increasing. 4310 people are dead, 7853 are injured. Thousand of buildings were destroyed and the debris are still being removed, the Nepalese Ministry of Internal Affairs reports.
It was a 7.9 magnitude earthquake, Euroradio reported. More tremors were registered on Sunday. The strongest one reached magnitude 6.7. Floods are expected to hit the country one of these days and the situation will aggravate.
Over 8 million people are experiencing problems caused by the disaster in Nepal, the UN reports. About 1 million 400 thousands need food. Rescuers, medics and humanitarian assistance are being sent to Nepal from all over the world.
