Civil activists to stand trial in Minsk
Activists Pavel Vinahradau and Aliaksandr Artsyubashau, detained for unknown reasons on March 13, will appear in a district court in Minsk.
Ex-political prisoner Pavel Vinahradau went to put in appearance in Minsk's Maskouski District Police Inspectorate, nn.by reports. His associate Alyaksandr Artsybashau accompanied him. Their phones were not accessible for several hours.
Vinahradau was found in the detention centre in Akrestsina Street in the evening. Artsybashau was brought there later. Vinahradau’s wife Svyatlana found their car at a pound.
The young men did not plan to organize any action on that day. People usually get detained in Minsk before civil actions or Russian VIPs’ visits to Minsk.
