Polish PM Donald Tusk resigns
Tusk has resigned in connection with his election to the position of the President of the European Council at an EU summit in Brussels on August 30.
Donald Tusk resigned after a meeting in the National Security Council. His resignation has been sent to President Bronisław Komorowski. He is expected to accept the resignation on Thursday, Polska Agencja Prasowa reports.
According to the Polish Constitution, the PM’s resignation will result in the resignation of his government. It will take two weeks to appoint a new Prime Minister.
Tusk has promised to study English first. He can barely speak it now.
