Poroshenko: Russian troops deployed in Ukraine
Ukraine's President Petro Poroshenko cancels his working visit to Turkey and gathers the National Security and Defense Council over the deteriorating military situation in eastern Ukraine.
"I have made a decision to cancel my working visit to the Republic of Turkey due to sharp aggravation of the situation in Donetsk region, particularly in Amvrosiivka and Starobeshevo, as Russian troops were actually brought into Ukraine," Ukraine's President is quoted as saying by his official website. "The President must stay in Kyiv today," Petro Poroshenko emphasized. Ukraine will urgently initiate the convocation of the UN Security Council meeting. "The world must provide assessment of sharp aggravation of the situation in Ukraine," the President stressed.
