Prakapovich: Potassium war to end by winter
Belarusian Deputy Prime Minister Piotr Prakapovich insists the problems at the potash market will be sorted out soon.
All the potassium trade issues will be decided in a few months, he said.
“Naturally, the situation is difficult because, the situation in the market has changed…” BELTA reports Piotr Prakapovich as saying. “The old connections are being restored; new markets are being developed. I think that situation will be stabilized in a few months.”
Aliaksandr Lukashenka hopes to restore the status quo in the potassium sphere, he claimed on Tuesday. "Indecent actions" of “Russian wretches” caused “certain problems in the field of realization of potassium products” for Belarus, Lukashenka admitted. The Belarusian authorities are eager “to normalize the situation” [the potassium issue] and Russians “will make a corresponding decision”, Aliaksandr Lukashenka stressed.
