Pupil suspected of attacking teacher returns to detention centre
The grammar school pupil suspected of attacking a teacher has undergone a psychiatric expertise and returned to the detention centre in Valadarski Street, a source close to Euroradio reports. Classmates are writing letters to him but he has not replied to them yet. The teenager is only writing to his parents. He has sent greetings to his friends in these letters.
D. may be accused soon, the source reports. The teacher is going to resume her work at school. However, grammar school headmistress Alyaksandra Uyunova has refused to comment on the information:
"Are are not commenting on it by phone. Please, do not visit us.”
The incident occurred at Minsk grammar school #74 on May 23. According to investigators, 16-year-old D. stabbed the teacher with a knife. The woman was delivered to the intensive care unit. Her condition is stable now. Classmates, parents, teachers and a coach have given the young man a good testimonial.
