Dzmitry Us is supposed to inform police when he goes abroad

Former political prisoner, ex-presidential candidate Dzmitry Us was called to the commission on criminal punishments at the premises of the Lenin district department of internal affairs of Minsk today.

Us has been informed about the terms of control over him. The ex-candidate has signed an obligation that he will inform the police about his foreign trips. Us also has no right to be arrested under the influence of alcohol. The political prisoner has joked that he promised "not to use alcohol, not to smoke and not to swear".

Us: "They've put me on a prophylactic record. I've signed a corresponding document, which states that, in accordance with the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus, I am obliged to inform Inspector Katkavets when I go abroad. Then, I am obliged not to violate public order, not to drink alcohol so that no charges would be made against me for drunken misbehavior. They can come to my place whenever they want to. There has been such conversation; I've signed the papers that I promise not to smoke, not to drink, not to swear. And that's it".

Us has been allowed to move across Belarus freely.

Let us remind you, the ex-presidential candidate was unexpectedly released in accordance with the decree on pardon on October 1. Representatives of the commission on criminal punishments were surprised that no one had explained Us the rules of control after release.
