Warsaw to demand freedom for Sannikau on his birthday
Ex-presidential candidates and political prisoner Andrei Sannikau is celebrating his 58th birthday today, on March 8.
An action of solidarity with him will take place in the Polish capital. The event will begin in front of Warsaw University (Krakowskie Przedmieście 26/28) at 6 p.m. It will be organized by “European Belarus”.
Let us remind you that Sannikau got detained during the peaceful manifestation in protest of the rigged election on December 19, 2010. He was sentenced to 5 years in a top-security prison on May 14, 2011. He was accused of the organization of “mass riots”.
