Switzerland to deport foreigners guilty in severe crimes

Swiss citizens supported the idea of automatic deportation of foreigners who committed severe crimes, at the referendum.   53% of voters supported the People's Party's suggestion, 47% voted against it, informs ВВС. The observers noted that the French-speaking population mostly voted against the suggestion, while the majority of the German-speaking population voted for it. 

Foreigners guilty in such crimes as murder, rape, robbing, drug distribution will be automatically deported. The country deports about 400 foreigners per year, but it is expected this number will now increase to 1 500. The deported will be deprived from the right to enter Switzerland for 5-20 years.
