Ukrainian detained for exchanging Russian roubles in Homel
Speculators in foreign currency keep getting detained in different Belarusian cities.
Two men were detained “for illegal currency exchange operations” in Homel on Wednesday. A jobless inhabitant of Vetka District and a Ukrainian citizen were detained. Br 14 million and 5 thousand Russian roubles was confiscated from them, the ECM press service reports.
Other foreigners have already been detained for illegal foreign currency exchange in Belarus before – Turkmen and Vietnamese citizens.
