Video by IOWA collects over 50 mln views
The video by IOWA "Beat Beats" has collected over 50 million views. It was published on YouTube on October 7, 2015 and immediately became super popular not only thanks to the fronwoman Katerina Ivanchikova but also dancer Sophia Tsvetkova who starred in the video.
50 million view is a record for Belarusian bands. Yet another video by IOWA "Smile" has collected over 24 million. This number is yet to be achieved by Belarusian bands and artists. Lyapis Trubetskoy's Voiny Sveta (Soldiers of Light) has around 12 million views. "In The Darkness" by Maz Korzh has collected around 14 million views.
IOWA was fonded in the Belarusian city of Mahilou in 2009. After moving to St Petersburg in Russia, the band is often described as a Belarusian, Belarusian-Russian or even Russіan band with Belarusian roots.
