Vladislav Baumgertner to stay under house arrest for 3 more months
Moscow Basmanny Court has prolonged the term of the house arrest for the Uralkali ex-CEO until July 14.
It means that Baumgertner will have spent 7 months under house arrest by then, interfax.by reports.
The former Uralkali CEO was arrested in Minsk in August 2013. He was accused of power and authority abuse. Baumgertner was extradited to Russia and jailed in a Moscow detention centre on November 22. He was put under house arrest on December 10.
The court allowed him 2-hour walks in the evening. However, he cannot leave his place of residence and contact anyone but close relatives without the investigator’s permission.
Baumgertner is accused of power abuse that resulted in serious consequences in Russia.
