Belarus sends Baumgertner’s case file to Moscow
The Belarusian Office of Prosecutor General has sent the last part of former Uralkali CEO Vladimir Baumgertner’s case papers to Russia.
The documents were sent two months ago, official representative of the Prosecutor General’s Office Pyotr Kisyalyou told Interfax-West. The biggest part of the case papers was sent to the Russian Prosecutor General’s Office earlier, Kisyalyou stressed.
Baumgertner was arrested in Minsk at the end of summer in 2013. He was accused of power and authority abuse. The top manager was extradited to Russia on November 22. He was jailed in a Moscow detention centre at first and then he was put under house arrest.
Russia is accusing him of power abuse that resulted in serious consequences.
