Ex-political prisoner Dashkevich to remain under preventive supervision
Minsk's Pershamaiski District Court ruled on Wednesday to leave former political prisoner Zmicier Dashkevich under preventive police supervision.
Dashkevich’s 6-month term of supervision had to end of February 28. However, it has been prolonged by 3 months – until May 28.
The co-leader of the Young Front did not attend the hearing because he was busy at work. He refused to comment on the court’s decision, Radio Liberty reports.
Dashkevich was arrested before the presidential election in 2010. He spent almost 3 years in prison and was released on August 28, 2013.
Dashkevich was supposed to stay under preventive supervision for 6 months after the release. He is not allowed to leave his flat from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m.
