Baumgertner to be put under house arrest in Russia
The Uralkali CEO is accused of power abuse.
Vladislav Baumgertner was arrested in Minsk at the end of summer. The Belarusian Investigation Committee accused him of power and authority abuse (article 424, part 3).
The CEO was jailed in KGB prison in Belarus at first and then he was put under house arrest in a rented flat. Baumgertner was extradited to Russia on November 22. He is in one of Moscow detention centres now.
