Long-term OSCE observers visit Biaroza
The members of the OSCE's long-term observation mission Brigitta Hoyer from Germany and Cornelis Kuiman from Holland vistited Biaroza. They wanted to see how preparation to the election was going in the district. The observers met with both representatives of the Biaroza district executive committee and the district election commission, and representatives of the democratic community, informs the web-site of the human rights center "Viasna".
Cornelis Kuimann, who observed Belarusian election-2008, asked the democrats whether there were any changes in the current election campaign. The observers found out from the representatives of the democratic community that only 5 BPF representatives out of 15 had been included in the precinct election commissions. The democrats also informed that the voters' efforts to make their representatives Tamara Shchapiotkina and Siarzhuk Rusetski members of either district or precinct election commission had been ignored by the local authorities, etc.
