Movie about Lesbian love wins Cannes film festival 2013 (video)
"La Vie d'Adele" by French director Abdellati Kechiche won the Palme d'OR at the 66th Cannes film festival.
The movie will be released at the international level under the name "Blue is the Warmest Colour", reports ВВС.
"Inside Llewyn Davis", directed by Ethan Coen and Joel Coen, got the Grand Prix. The movie depicts a folk-singer who tries to break through to the big stage.
The Best Screenplay award went to China's Jia Zharke for "A Touch of Sin".
The Japanese melodramatic film "Like Father, Like Son" by Japanese director Hirokazu Kore-Eda got the Jury Prize. The film tells about the two families whose children were mixed up in the maternity hospital and the choice they face when they learn the truth.
Veteran of the American cinema Bruce Dern got the Best Actor award for "Nebraska". The award for Best Actress went to Bérénice Bejo for "The Past", directed by Asghar Farhadi (Iran).
The youngest participant of the main contest, Mexican Amat Escalante, got the Best Director award for the social drama "Heli". The film is full of violence and tells about the real war between the criminals involved in drugs traffiking, and the government.
The Cannes film festival lasted from May 15 till May 26. 20 films participated in the main contest. The jury headed by Steven Spielberg decided on their destiny.
