Nyaklyayeu admits single candidate ambition for 2015

The movement For Freedom has chosen its single candidate, social networks reported earlier. Ales Lahvinets was announced to be one. However, Lahvinets assured Euroradio that it was not true.

The single candidate is supposed to be chosen at the Congress of Democratic Forces. “If the Congress is organized according to democratic rules, we will definitely take part in it,” Alyaksandr Milinkevich admitted. He also commented on the candidate of the movement For Freedom…

Alyaksandr Milinkevich: “We are discussing it. It would be better not to have about 10 or 15 potential candidates at the Congress – we need the leaders to reach an agreement so that it would be easier to conduct the Congress.”

Alyaksandr Milinkevich will only agree to become the single candidate again if all the participants of the Congress support him. However, he is going to promote young and promising candidates – they will be able to stay active even after the election campaign-2015.

BPF leader Alyaksei Yanukevich would also like to choose some single candidate before the Congress.

Alyaksei Yanukevich: “The candidate does not have to be a BPF member. But he should respect the values defended by the BPF Party. The BPF Party will suggest its own candidate only if no single candidate is chosen and if no agreement is reached.”

He does not exclude that the party leader may become such a candidate.

The United Civil Party will take part in the Congers of Democratic Forces, UCP leader Anatol Lyabedzka did not try to dodge Euroradio’s question. The party is even going to conduct internal primaries to choose their own contender. The politician also commented on his own ambitions.

Anatol Lyabedzka: “I am an active politician, not a theoretician. If I take part in local campaigns and in parliamentary election campaigns, it means that I will not avoid the presidential campaign either.”

 The Party of the left Fair World is also preparing for the Congress, deputy party leader Valery Uhnalyou told Euroradio. But it does not mean that they will take part in the Congress. The left also believe that there should be more than a few contenders for the position of the single candidate.

Valery Uhnalyou: “We only know that Tell the Truth has a candidate, the UCP is about to chose their contender and that the movement For Freedom may have a candidate too. But the information is not official”.

 Fair World would not mind promoting their candidate Syarhei Kalyakin (the party leader) either.

Only Tell the Truth has openly announced the name of its candidate. Curiously enough, the candidate is Uladzimir Nyaklyayeu, the campaign leader. All potential candidates should fulfill certain demands, deputy leader Andrei  Dzmitryyeu said.

Andrei  Dzmitryyeu: “We must know in advance who will take part in the Congress. It is essential. Everyone must admit that if their contender loses, they will agree to support the one who wins. They should not start looking for enemies, agents and what not – the usual games that we have already seen in such situations.”

LDPB may present a surprise to the secret Congress. The party has not been invited, but its leader Syarhei Haidukevich and his deputy Aleh Haidukevich have claimed many times that they will come without an invitation. They will come with their candidate and hundreds of adherents.
