Russian diplomats to meet with Vladislav Baumgertner in Minsk
The Uralkali CEO was transferred from the KGB prison to the house arrest in the specially rented apartment last week.
On Monday, the Russian Embassy's employees will meet with Vladislav Baumgertner. The time of the meeting is still under coordination, informs RIA Novosti.
Euroradio reminds, Uralkali CEO was arrested in Minsk airport on August 26, right after the negotiations with Belarusian PM Mikhail Myasnikovich. The Belarusian Investigatory Committee stated that Baumgertner "caused damage to the national interests of Belarus". The Uralkali CEO was charged with misuse of official power and authorizations. He faces up to 10 years of imprisonment with property confiscation. The Investigatory Committee also informed that the Belarusian Potash Company lost $ 100 million. Baumgertner spent a month in the KGB prison. Alyaksandr Lukashenka does not exclude his extradition to Russia.
