Sentence to Yury Dankoff to be pronounced on December 23
The Dankoff Club owner will hear the verdict at 10 a.m. on December 23 in the Maskouski district court of Minsk.
This has been informed by BelaPAN with a reference to the Supreme Court.
On December 2, the state public prosecutor asked to sentence the businessman to 9 years of imprisonment with property confiscation.
Yury Dankoff was arrested on September 4, 2012. He was accused of creating conditions for prostitution. Also, the businessman was accused of tax evasion since January 2007 till September 2012, which caused financial damage tot he state for the total sum of Br 918.1 million. Among other accusations there are documents forgery, involvement of women into prostitution, assistance in falsification of proofs in a civil case etc.
The trial against Yury Dankoff started on September 18. It is unknown whether the accusation was re-qualified as the trial is held in the closed regime.
