11 participants of “non-freeloaders’ march” to stand trial in Hrodna
11 participants of a non-freeloaders’ march will stand trial in Hrodna on March 14. The action was held on February 19. About a hundred people joined it. The trials will be held on the eve of another unauthorized street action planned in Hrodna, Radio Liberty reports. Lenin District Court will begin the hearings at 10 a.m. Similar trials will be organized in Babruisk, Brest and Baranavichy.
Participants of non-freeloaders’ marches and a few journalists stood trials in Orsha, Brest and Homel on Monday. The people were either fined or jailed. Politian Pavel Sevyarynets was sentenced to a 15-day arrest in Orsha and to a 13-day arrest in Homel. Well-known blogger Maksim Filipovich was detained by the riot police later.
The protests are not going to enhance today, expert of the Belarusian Independent Institute of Socio-Economic and Political Studies Alena Arstyomenka thinks. A lot of oppositionists are in jail now.
The next action against decree#3 will be held in Minsk on March 15.
